Jim Kennon began his career November 1984 in the Investment Industry. Jim retired from Northwestern Mutual in June 2011 and opened Kennon Wealth Management, LLC in January of 2012, opening the ability to provide the best professional experience available to his clients.

This pursuit of excellence as an Investment Advisor Representative allows Jim to bring in the Industry to his clients.

It’s the goal of Jim’s business practice to remain high level by providing quality services from companies. We use only Specialists that have a proven track record. The way we work is to help you make an informed decision about your Investments that feels right to you. We will listen carefully to you and gather proper data then offer you options for your consideration.

On a personal note Jim grew up on a farm in Southeast Missouri near Doniphan Mo. The 20th of 21 children. My father raised all of his farm hands. He learned the disciplines of good work ethic in early life. Jim Graduated from Doniphan High School in 1965 and was drafted into the Army July 1966 and served as a Combat Engineer in the 4th Armored Division in Furth Germany until July of 1968 and was honorably discharged in August 1968. In September 1977 Jim Married Judy Barbeau, and they worked as a very effective team both personally and professionally for 40 years. Jim lost Judy April 2017 due to health reasons. Jim became a disciple of Jesus in September I977 in the Church of Christ and is very Spiritually devoted to God.

Jim enjoys spending time with family and friends. Jim’s hobbies include lawn work, Martial Arts, he has a Graduate Degree in Jeet Kune Do as of September 2011. He also enjoys walking and being entertained by his English Bullterrier JB. JB was born 12/25/2014, his father is a champion show dog.
